La Lluvia de Ventura
Hey! Hows it goin??
This week was a good week, as always.
This week was my first week in Ventura and it is weird being here in some aspects. I started my mission not to far from ventura in the same Zone so I used to do all my shopping and things ventura because I was in a small Town. When I got here, I did what I usually do and I wiped the apartament clean of trash ahah. There was so much trash and random things but then we found a huge Christmas tree!! Super fun and the apartment is super nice so it is going to be good. The área is amazing, set up visits with the Bishop and relief society president and Elders Quorum President and got lots of good info! There is a place called the Avenue which is full of so many people it is crazy. I would say one of the best áreas in the mission.
My comp is Elder Williams and he is in his Second transfer and is from South jordán! He is super cool and fun and we get along great. I got here and they combine 2 áreas so we cover a huge área again which is crazy. There is so much potential here it is amazing. There is definitely lots of cleaning up to do in the area here so lots of filtering of friends already being taught and going over some básic principles of the gospel. We have some amazing friends, and some part Member families who are really cool and I see so much potential.
We have been extremely Blessed with food from Members and free taco truck food and also our friends and it has been amazing to me. I got to try shark and sword fish. The lord has done a lot of preparing and I am praying that I can be an instrument in his hand. I have felt his spirit guíde me to people who are ready and we have ran into some interesting people who were being taught and had some interesting conversations. Karla is one of our friends who is super awesome and comes to church and is super awesome, Angel and Jaime are super cool and they have 2 daughters and love what we teach and are now praying as a family which is so cool! Please Pray for them! Also Elder Holland is coming to only my area this friday so thats cool. Hopefully I get to go to his devotional!
We got to give a blessing to a member in the hospital yesterday as well for some really tough trials she is going through. Im grateful for the priesthood.
