The News, Adios Camaradas
Hey! Hows it goin!?
This week was a super interesting week lets get into it.
First things first is that the beginning of the week was pretty bad. The work was slow and I recieved some bad news back home that certain people weren't being honest with me with some situations back home. But... a quote from general conference stuck out to me this week.
"Through his infinite atonement, you can forgive those who have hurt you and who may never accept responsibility for their cruelty to you"
It's true, and I've found peace knowing that I've done all I can on behalf of the lord. He will take care of you if you put your trust in him.
We had a little banda get together which was awesome and had some great food! We then did a hike instead of sports night this week and it was awesome!!
We had an awesome party with Rocio and Julio and had cake and viva la pasta which is SO good and so much food it was so fun. I love the members here so much. They treat me like family. Another fun thing we did was take a bunch of friends cookies!! We made thank you cards and cookies and delivered them!
I have a good friend named Willy, part of la Banda. I made Enchiladas and took him some because he wasn't feeling good. He has major health problems and is a recent convert. Doesn't have any family just a dog. He was hospitalized as we were eating lunch with him. He isn't doing too good and I ask for your prayers.
This Thursday as well, we had the opportunity to go to the temple as a mission. The entire mission was in one session and it was amazing. I learned a few things about the fall of Adam and Eve and I recognized that only God keeps promises. He promises us something different than the world does and I know that what he offers is what every single one of us is searching for. As the ordinance came to a close and I entered into the last room, aka the celestial room. I was immediatly greeted by all my mission friends. The only thing that lacked me was my personal family. The love is real and exists. That is what it will be like in the final day.
Last but not least, TRANSFERS
I will be leaving to Oxnard and changing companions. I will be with Elder Lafferty! This is so exciting to me because I havent been in a spanish predominant area neither ever had another spanish Elder in my district. Theres more but Basically I'm super excited.
I hope you all had a good week and hope this week is better! Stay safe and stay close to Christ. I love you all!! Temple pictures will be added to separate email!
