Transfers
Hey! Hows it goin??
This week was a good week, as always
Actually this week was a lot rougher than I thought, haha. It was tough because I watched some people I care about distance themselves from me. In my mission and at home too. This week we handed off 4 of our top progressing because they stopped progressing and we will continue to hand off 3 more this week.
We got our new transfer calls and me and Elder Nelson are staying! I am very excited to be with him so I cannot complain but the work here is coming to a point where it feels like we cannot do anything else in the area of spanish. We have contacted almost every single person in our area book. We have about 15 people left(I know I talk about this alot but I want to remember). I dont mean tried, but I mean that we contacted them. We also counted and we made 80 new contacts for new people in our area. We are running out of things to do. I am about to become an Old Testament master everyone.
I also did something to my foot but long story short, I don't wanna go to the doctors so it will heal itself. Don't stress about it, I promise it is fine.
We met some cool people this week and got on the roof of some shack and we also had dinner with someone that we helped move. He was super cool and was super nice and bought us pizza. It is fun that the mission will be so close to me when I come home. I can show the people I care about where I served and the good places around. There are a couple chains here that you can't find anywhere else other than in our mission. Super wack but they are awesome
I want to share something amazing that happened this week with Gabriella. She is still very sick and something is going on with her back now so she did not make it to church again. But... we stopped by for a random visit and we explained the priesthood. We explained it really well and talked about how the priesthood is the power of God and that it gives us the authority to perform ordinances to return to heaven. We told her that baptism was just the first step and mentioned temples and said we do more in them. We explained not everyone can enter into temples because they need to start with kindergarten in order to make it to 9th grade. I continued to show her a picture of the temple and she interrupted me and asked the requirements for baptism. I bout died. She is so ready. We continued to focus on the priesthood as well after explaining the requirements. We mentioned blessings of healing and of comfort and offered her one. She accepted and we gave her a blessing. I always get so nervous but for some reason, I was as calm as a rock haha. I gave a perfect blessing in Spanish somehow and I knew the Lord was about to do something even better. We sat down and I asked her how she felt. She said good and just then, the world stopped moving. Her daughter playing the saxophone stopped. the dogs barking the entire time, stopped. The non stop busy highway literally right in front of her house, stopped. She closed her eyes and we watched her feel it. All you could hear was my voice(aka the Spirit as well), and a soft breeze. We watched tears softly roll down her check as I continued to bear my testimony. She felt it. We felt it. And no one could deny it. As she came back to reality, I told her that I know this church is true, and told her I think she already knows as well and without question, she reaffirmed. She will get baptized and the work of the Lord will continue. I'll keep you updated.
I thank you for all of your support and love while I am out here and if you got any fun updates I would love to hear!! Thanks for everything everyone and have a great week!!
