New Area

 Hey! Hows it goin??

This week was a good week as always. A ton happened this week because as you all know. I got a new companion and I got a new area!! So Tuesday we all went to the mission office and did what we call the transfer train. Which is just basically how we all change our areas on transfer days. But I waited for about 2 hours and we had a trainers meeting!! We ate lunch and then after that, I got my brand new companion!! His name is Elder Nelson and lives in St George Utah. He is super cool and is actually adjusting really well!! He is super nice and I am so happy to be his trainer. Not only that but we white washed into this area. That means a brand new companionship. This area is so different.

They call this area mini Utah. There are like 3 streets that have people that speak spanish. It is crazy because it is a group here as well. It is not big enough to be a branch or a ward, it is a group. So this sunday we had about maybe 10 people come to church. I have had a lot of people tell me that they don't know why they put a spanish companionship in here. But I am not worried about it. We are going to destroy this area to the max!! We have done tons of contacting this week and it has been half good half bad. Not only that but this area is superrrrr nice. The houses are very big and there are lots of restaurants and lots of fun. No they aren't mansions but I went from shacks and small town Mexican to modern homes with livable situations. I am in for a loop haha. We got here and they didn't have a visit set up at all. Not one, so this week was a good grind week. My companion has been a champ and I am really excited to be here. Our new apartment is super nice and we even have a small grill!! You already know I am cooking up a storm! Super fun things. I do miss Santa Paula so hopefully the missionaries do well over there.

We also did some service this week for someone who needed to move pretty quickly. We helped her out I think twice and it was a good time! We also ran into an ex missionary who was doing some sales!! He picked us up and drove us to lunch! It was pretty fun to see. I was so grateful for the food too. We had been walking for about 4 hours through lunch. Not only that but we had 2 member meals this week!! Through our church as a spanish group, everything is done through the english ward here. Let me tell you as well. The ward here is hugggeeee. So we don't have a bishop for a group or anything. It is just someone assigned to help out. So that means we get fed by the English members!! haha super fun and we had one on sunday and they were so nice!! We have a great week ahead of us and we are really excited to work.

Little spiritual thought here. I have actually never seen God's hand in my life as much as I did this week. When we arrived I immediately knew that this place was not like the other areas in the mission. We went contacting and found no one that spoke Spanish the first day. I was actually nervous. But, I didn't stress because I knew the lord would deliver. We after that have run into the only hispanics on the block at the most random time. God is doing his best work here. I can promise you that. We have had experiences where I am just driving hoping to find the road and I do. Not only that but God has put us in places I never would have expected so that way we can speak spanish to those who don't speak english. It is really cool to see. I can promise you that the lord has a plan. I am definitely getting my spanish practice and logically it should not be happening haha.

Anyways, Thank you for all your love and support have a great week I will see you next week!!

Pictures of those i said bye too. Hector yeny claudia and a ward member hermano Gonzales.
