Purity

This week was good as always. Just doing the basic missionary work and trying to do the best I can. The week was full of rejections and ups and downs and all sorts of things that took me and my companion for a mental spin. We will start with Roberto, He is the one in the wheelchair and we were about to get him to church. We had someone there waiting for him to get in the car and his wife said he couldn't so he said no. We taught him more and committed him again and showed up and his wife totally rejected us in spanish calling us names and telling us we are terrible people and we abuse him. We asked her to let Roberto decide, and she would not and told us she is catholic and that we shouldn't pass by again because robertos brain is not good enough practically and that she choses for him. we are going to pass by this week and bear our testimonies and leave it. I don't know why she did that but oh well.

We also set another person on a date this week!! We have a girl who comes to English class every time and it is just her. We started teaching her in English and she said that she wants to be baptized. She has never been to church before though so we set a date, and told her to come to church. We will see how it goes. I have faith. The next thing is that, we found someone named Hector this week, at least I think this week and we started teaching him and wow he is also elect. He said that something has always been missing and then told us about how he repented of all his sins and then felt amazing peace like none other and felt like God was going to have him do something else and stopped drinking cold turkey before Christmas. Then we showed up. He gave us a free gym membership so we have been hitting the gym this week and we sometimes see hectr there.

We had a sexual purity zoom this week which was pretty powerful. We talked some of the premortal life and a lot on the benefit of the soul and how becoming like God includes us doing the same thing as him, so being a father. I also listened to this talk called souls symbols and sacraments by Elder Holland and that was a really good talk as well. I have actually been studying the premortal life a ton since I have been on my mission as well. He also talks about why purity is so important. Probably centered toward the younger kids but still. I gave a discussion in district counsel about confidence and my entire district was really grateful for that so that was nice. Still working on Spanish como siempre but it is getting more smooth. I love talking in Spanish as well. Got lots to learn.

This week I listened to that talk and I love what it said about sacraments. A sacrament is anything that brings us closer to God. So yes the "sacrament" is a sacrament. But there are other things and covenants we make that are sacrament. Not only that but simple actions can be considered sacraments. Something to think about through your week.

I think that is all I have for this week. I love you all and have a great week!! Stay safe!!!
