Transfers and goodbyes
Hey everyone!! This week was another great week!! This sunday, so yesterday, we got our transfer calls!! Both Elder Larsen and Elder Teichert are leaving and Elder teichert is going to be a zone leader!! Elder Larsen is training because we don`t have a lot of spanish Elders right now. He is pretty scared but we both know hes got it. I am staying in Santa Paula!! I will be here for another transfer and my companion will be Elder Skinner which he arrived the same day I did so we will see how that goes. I will tell you how it is next week because transfers happen tomorrow.
This week was pretty crazy. Last monday a man was getting into his car and we did the classic missionary approach and he said he talked with the missionaries before and started asking questions. We realized very quickly that this guy was not interested and he started to get pretty into it. He started making things up and he really believed that if there was a God then he would have to hate him for everything he has done. I will not be rude or disrespectful or anything like that ever or at least try not too. It's ok to not believe in things but he was very very controversial and he really disproved himself in a lot of things. But he really started to hate on "God", even though he doesn't believe in him haha it was really sad. We ended up talking to him for about an hour. Or I guess he kinda talked to us but ya it was really sad to see that hate come from someone. He tried to twist us and stuff but didn't work haha.Anyways, on friday we had our district counsel. The mission has a tradition where the last friday is called fortune friday. We all go to panda and eat and the fortune cookie tells us where we are going. Its a fun tradition and let me tell you that Panda Express is totally 100 percent accurate on these fortunes. Haha mine said that an unfinished project will resurface at the perfect moment. Well I guess it is a mission prediction overall because this transfer has nothing to do with that... oh well. That was fun.My spanish seems to be improving. I am gaining tons of knowledge everyday. It is hard to have the courage to speak because I definitely don't want to get it wrong but I feel like it is really coming along. This week though there was nothing too crazy or fun with the people we were teaching. I hope I can get some awesome stuff done this transfer. We have goodbyes and stuff today where we write in a book called a shout out book for each Elder. Today we also got to go on a hike and that was fun as well. We got to go to the plane restaurant I mentioned a few times ago but this time was breakfast.I think that is about all this week. My spiritual thought is Helaman 15:7. I hope you open the Book of Mormon and read it. I hope you all have the opportunity to read the Book of Mormon because it contains the fullness of the gospel. I love you all and have a great week!!
I like to continue on to verse 8 of your scripture because it says that those who have a change of heart (verse 7) will be firm and steadfast and will be made free.
