Temples Blessings and Gifts
This week was one of my favorites by far. First off I would like to say thank you to all that wrote me back giving me advice on what to include!! The mission rule is that I can only email each person once a preparation day. So feel free to keep emailing me just let me know if you want a response because my days get really packed so I read responses throughout the week but if you want a response then I will 100 percent respond the next week. This week was like I said a really good week.
First I'll start with catholics, there is a huge catholic church where we contact people and this week was the baby Jesus idol worship week if you did not know. So they threw a huge party and roads were closed and people from all over came for this party. It was crazy and fun to drive by but it's hard to teach people who aren't open to hearing messages because they are catholic haha.
Next thing this week is I gave my first blessing in Spanish!! It was so scary and I had no idea what I was doing but I think I did good haha. She was super grateful and was emotional after so that's good. It was such a cool experience for me because I have only ever given one blessing before and it was in english. It was difficult for me because I am restricted by my language but it wasn't me giving the blessing so I guess that's just how it goes. I truly felt the gift of tongues come into play as I started using the subjunctive with stem changers like the word saber. If you don't know what that means then don't worry just know God is real.
Next thing was that I got to go to the temple this week!! We went to the LA temple and boy what a cool temple. It is so big and it's one of the temples where you switch rooms. The rooms were so beautiful and it was such an awesome experience. For those who haven't been in the temple before or haven't been in a while, I encourage you to become worthy and go as much as possible. For those that aren't members of our church, more information can be found at ChurchofJesusChrist.org.
We have been teaching a ton, Pedro's progress has been halted for a little cuz he has been busy so we couldn't teach him. We met someone Named ramon and he is really interested and we are excited excited teach him. Also we are still teaching Leo and that's going pretty well. We are trying really hard to get him to Baptism he is awesome.
Last thing is a spiritual thought. Being on a mission has been really hard but I see the Lord everywhere. He is the light and life of the world and my job is to invite people to come unto him. Not change religions, bash others, or slave 9 to 9. It's to invite others to come unto Christ. Isaiah 54:13 says "all thy children shall be taught of the Lord; and great shall be the peace of thy children." I love you all here are tons of pictures!!
