Home MTC Week Two

Buenos Días!!? What a great week to write about! Today is Tuesday so you might be wondering why I'm emailing today, but never fear. They moved my pday to today because I am going to the Provo MTC TOMORROW!!! Wow, time flies! At the beginning of this home mtc, I thought I wasn't gonna make it through haha because the days never seemed to end. I wake up now everyday and say... Today is "tuesday"??? I say the wrong day half the time anyways too ahha. Home mtc is always super different. People still have their old phones and email whenever they want and they go do like anything aha. every experience is different but I'm the only person without my original phone aha but it is such a good experience and really teaches me obedience.

This week was pretty freaking awesome. SO SO much spirit and SO much fun with my family. I got to go to the temple with my grandparents and my mom. First vicarious temple endowment! Not only that but when I walked into the changing room, my best friend for like 6 years from when I lived at my grandma's house and old house was there changing for his first time going through the temple! It was so crazy and it was soo good to see him. After my last class on Thursday I got to play some great volleyball! Good times and good people.

On Saturday I got to go shopping quite a lot cuz I needed just like 2 more things and then Sunday my mission president told me that I cannot have white soled shoes haha. That is the only thing I have so we're in a slight scramble to get a few ahha.

Sunday I went to my grandma's house and my uncle Kirk was there!! I got to see him and hang with my cousins for a bit which was dope cuz I wanted to see them before I left. We had a great day and hung out and talked and played with old toys we used to play with when we were little ahah. I built a massive bird of some sort hehe you will see down below.

Monday was my last class in zoom which THANK GOODNESS!!! I'm so excited to go to the Provo mtc and do everything there. I'm so pumped to meet my companion for the first time and meet my district. I have to say goodbye to my family which is terrible but at the same time, I'm only like 30 min away ahah. So if I need anything I'll just ask for it haha. When I'm in California I'm only like 12 hours away so they can just drop stuff off. I also get to facetime them every week. While it's really sad, I'm not too worried.

Spiritual thought maybe...?
We talked about the atonement a lot yesterday and we were told to study it. Repentance is mentioned almost as much as Jesus Christ is mentioned. Maybe more. The atonement was and is the single most important act done on this earth. For without it, we are all lost. I watched a video about the Atonement recently. The video was a talk by Pres Iring mixed with a talk by Pres Holland. Holland said that many missionaries ask... why is this so hard? Isn't there another way? He continues to say, But "someone else asked that same question before. Someone much more perfect." Pretty amazing. Jesus asked that same question while in the Garden of Gethsemane. Salvation does not come at a cheap and easy price. Now on a different note, the Lord's ministry on this earth was amazing and as we know, he preached, healed, comforted and loved everyone. I had a thought come to me thinking about the atonement as I watched the video. His ministry was amazing on this earth. But when he was called up to heaven, why do we think it has to stop?? Jesus Christ is probably doing the same thing up there as he did down here. Teaching and inviting others to come unto him.

Thanks everyone for all your love and support!! My emails will probably get better as time goes along ahah. I'm sure the field will be a little more exciting than a zoom call haha. Stay safe and have a Great Week!! OH, and I don't know what I said in my last email but my pday will continue to be Wednesday until I get to the field.
