One year and a Change!

Hey!! Hows it goin?? This week was a good week, as always.  I wanted to start off by saying that this week, I officially hit 1 year of being on a mission. I would never trade this for the world. I left a lot of stuff back home that may not be there when i come back but I know that the lord is with me and loves me and that this is where I need to be. I have grown so much and learned so many amazing things and principles I want to live by forever. Speaking of principles... the Church has updated its missionary standards for diciples of Jesus Christ and they have gotten rid of many policies and put in place a principle on communication with friends back home. Basically speaking, I can now comunicate more openly with others back home! If you would like specific details reach out to me and I will let you know. Many things have changed and it is pretty crazy.  This week was a good week! We found a couple new people that I am really excited for. We met a man and he asked us to ...

Support from the Lord!

Hey!! Hows it goin?? This week was a good week, as always.  Today marks exactly a year ago from when I was set apart to be a missionary. Crazy stuff! Super classic missionary stuff again as we are on the grind trying to find new people to teach and helping those progressing. We have stopped teaching lots of our friends and will probably hand off Fernando this week, and maybe Lucky. We have no idea why they are chosing to wait but they both have decided to wait for reasons unknown. We now have 4 people waiting to be baptized. They come to church every day, they know practically everything and just are waiting. If only they would tell us. We pray for them everyday but we need to have the faith to let them go. So now we are on the grind for more! We have someone named Cristian we are teaching. The lord helped me find him with Elder Krenkel. When I was with Elder Krenkel, Cristian had told us some sad things that had happened in past churches to make him not like the idea of church. He...

Hey!! Hows it goin?? This week was a good week, as always.  This week was kinda just like any other missionary week. Exciting twists and turns and ups and downs. But we are here!! We had interviews with President this week and they were probably the best interviews I have had with him since I have been here. We talked a lot about the priesthood and how God works and stuff. He told me some cool stories too. Lots of our friends sadly are slowly falling. As you know, we have extended baptismal dates to lots of our friends but they constantly keep telling us that they want to wait. We dont know why, they are all ready. We have 4 or 5 friends who have decided to wait for reasons unknown. They are now slowly decreasing. We are doing our best to keep their progression on the upward slope. We are doing lots of filtering now.  This week was a little better for finding people to teach. Before, literally the people just didnt exist. No one home, in the streets, nada. But this last...

Hey!! Hows it goin?? This week was a good week, as always It was a very go go go week and a lot happened so I will jump into it.  This week was my first MLC, Which is where all the leaders of the mission meet and talk bout tons of stuff. I got to see Elders Skinner, and Larsen, Ward, Herget, just a ton! It was fun and the meeting was interesting. As SETL, I have a spanish call a day and they are going really well! I have all sorts of things we can do during the calls so I can asses their language and help them. It is really fun to do the calls! Still getting used to it but it is good!  I mentioned an online english class that we teach now. It is done through a facebook page called Central coast English. If you would like to watch me try and teach English in Spanish, hop on!! I cant talk to you but you can watch if you want haha. We usually have about 15 people on at a time. Lots switch on and off but usually about 15. We teach the class at 7 oclock my time here in Calif...

Hey!  Hows it going? This week was a good week, as always. I got my new comp Elder Nunley!! He is from Snowflake Arizona and loves the exact same things that I do! He loves to fish and camp etc. He is super funny and we get along great. He has about 5 months in the mission and is working on his spanish a lot right now. But I am too so there we go.  This week was a different week. We did lots of finding in the afternoon knocking dots and some other things, but there was a lot that I needed to get done. As Spanish Elder Training Leader, I help other Elders with their spanish and I do zoom calls. I had to set them up and it took me like 3 hours! There is a lot we have to get done around here and lots of it pivots on others so its kinda stressful. We were doing a ton of finding though and literally there was just no one. No one home, no one outside, nada. Lots of our members got sick too so all of our dinners this week were cancelled and lots of our other visits with friends...
