Planes and Man Eating Plants

 Hey everyone!!! Things are still going super good!! Sorry I don't write a ton because I'm so used to the weird happening now it's normal. This week was great though!!! We had 3 exchanges this week. An exchange is where 2 companionships switch companions for the day. We had 3 so it was a little complicated but it all worked out. I will attach pictures bellow. You will see who I was with. The exchanges were super fun. I didn't have my trainer with me so it was only me and elder Larsen speaking Spanish. It was so cool though. We killed it, got tons of lessons set up everytime and had lessons in Spanish as well. So cool. During exchanges my comp Elder Larsen said its a must that we go out to eat. Everytime we went out to eat and he paid. What a guy

This one restaurant was so cool!! So there's this little flight school here In Santa paula where people learn to fly, I'm going to come back and learn. But they built a restaurant right next to the run way so you see all the parked planes and watch them take off its so fun. The food was so Good there too I am Def coming back to go there. So it was nice eating out and hanging out too. 

This week is the last week of the transfer!! That means in a week I will possibly leave Santa Paula and or get a new companion. He will be my follow up trainer who ever my next companion is. I have Been in the field for a whole month which is awesome. Time flies it really does. 

So one of the stories I have this week is about a sweet little old lady. Me and Elders Larsen and Murdock go to this lesson we have set up. It's a sweet little old lady. She's been taught before but she is catholic. We sit down and get to know her. By the way this is all in Spanish, and my trainer Elder Teichert isn't here haha. We talk and she goes off on how others don't know there is only once God. So we sat there and listened. Then we tried to teach just part of the Restoration of our church. We get 30 seconds in and she goes off again about a crazy experience she had. She said she was in a town Ojai for her birthday with her family and as they were walking to dinner, she fell in the park. She says she had a miraculous dream where, she went really high up in the sky and she knocked on a door. Someone answered and then descended to the earth. She says she woke up In the hospital bed. Her family called the ambulance and took her to the hospital and she doesn't remember. Crazy story eh? Well then she tells me one time she was out with her plants which she has a million, and proceeded to be eaten by her plant. Someone driving by saw and hopped out of their car and came to the rescue and killed the plant because the plant wouldn't let her leave. Ya so I don't really know what happened here but that's that.

We met with our friend Ramon who seriously is so cool. We gave him a book of mormon and he read the title page and witnesses 3 times haha!!! He is so cool. He is so honest seriously and calls us like letting us know what is going on and stuff. We are really excited for him. Our friend Leo who we thought we were going to Baptize totally relapsed on his alcohol problem. It sucks so bad because honestly he was so close and I could feel the conflict inside of him and he hasn't drank in months it's been so long. He drank a ton and passed out and lost his car and threw up blood, doesn't remember any of it. It sucks but he has his own choices right. We have some solid people we are teaching. We met this family that I absolutely love, who their house is so clean 24/7 and they show so much respect it is crazy. We teach their whole family. Like 100 percent they will probably get baptized. That's it for the cool parts of teaching. 

My spiritual thought isn't much this week I don't think. I just want to say that I know God exists. The only proof you need is your body. Yet he has given us more to prove he lives. This world is a test of our faith and he gives us agency so we can freely choose him. Denying God exists is simply wishful thinking. Doesn't matter what religion, that old lady was right. Only 1 God. 

Well that's I think all really. I tried to wake up a little earlier to write more in my email. I don't have a lot of time on my preparation days. I hope all of you are doing well and having a great time especially as the holidays approach!!!
